How It Works

The Validation process takes from 5 to 10 working days
Eligibility
To be eligible for Freelancer ID, you should follow the following criteria:
- Egyptian citizen with a valid National ID Card.
- Provide digital services/solutions on freelancing platforms.
- Fulfilled one of the following:
- Graduated from an MCIT or MCIT-affiliated (ITIDA, ITI, NTI) training program that incorporates freelancing training
- Earned a minimum of $1200 in the last 12 months.
- Foreign source of earnings.
- Provide proof of contract/job obtained via marketplace/direct client.
- Proof of earnings as online payment gateway/bank/freelancing marketplace statements.
- Earnings are obtained by providing legal online services.
- Marketplace/direct customer reviews and rating support can accelerate the process.
- Foreign source of earnings.
Failure to maintain any of the above-mentioned eligibility criteria results in the rejection of the application.
ID Validation
Once an application is approved and a virtual Freelancer ID card is issued, it will be valid for 12 months. After 12 months of card being issued, the applicant will be prompted to update their information. The new update request will be considered as a new application and it must go through the same verification process.
